Custom Engineered Aftermarket Kits
Upgrades to New Generation Equipment
Because technology never rests, it is important that we offer evolving and innovative solutions. At MacLean, we work hard to give your existing fleet a solid upgrade path to these new features.
We understand that budget constraints can hamper plans to invest in new equipment -- to ensure that you don’t lag behind, MacLean offers competitively priced, custom-engineered aftermarket upgrade kits to extend the life of your equipment.
Safety Upgrades
Designing for operator safety and productivity is what defines MacLean equipment. Safety is what we focus on first and foremost. From equipment design to manufacture, nothing is more important than operators using our vehicles safely and productively. MacLean is committed to safety through the education of operators and a continuous improvement program that includes safety enhancements and upgrades.
Safety measures to ensure the safety of operators:
- Tilt interlock safety circuit – to protect the operator when the boom returns to tram position
- Deck extension interlock circuit – machine safety circuit to protect C-ARM
- Canadian Standards Association (CSA) manlift certification for the scissor jacks/outriggers
MacLean-Certified Rebuilds
MacLean mining vehicles work in some of the harshest conditions imaginable and time takes a toll on this equipment and their components. The MacLean team of rebuild experts can perform a thorough equipment audit and recommend targeted and customised rebuild programs to keep your equipment running at 100%.
Does a MacLean Certified Rebuild matter?
The simple answer is “YES”. All MacLean-Certified Rebuilds come with multiple benefits:
- Cost savings
- Technology upgrades
- Equipment lifespan extension
- Access to original documentation on the cloud-based MacLean-Documoto platform
- Warranty support as for new, capital purchases
- Stringent tests and inspections at factory or test mine
- Warranty support for our aftermarket offerings
All our Canadian and global branches are fully equipped to perform complete rebuilds.

Used Equipment
Our used equipment meets the same high-quality, OEM standards as our new equipment. With exhaustive checks in place, we provide the best unit available to meet your specifications that delivers productivity guidelines.
Our global branches maintain inventory of these fast-moving stock units, giving you an effective way to lower your operating costs.
Equipment Audits
Conducting a fully detailed audit or utilizing our quick assessment price calculator, our field service technicians are able to provide an in-depth evaluation of your MacLean mining vehicle. We offer audits for equipment repair, rebuilds and half units, and can follow-up by taking care of your requirements either at one of our branch rebuild workshops, or at your minesite if you choose to do so. These audits ensure your unit is safe and productive for the long haul.

Blended Learning-Training Solutions
Operator and Mechanical Training
Our expert trainers provide both hands-on, remote real-time, self-directed on-line, and in-class training programs. We customise training solutions based on your specific needs when it comes to operator and mechanical training. Our goal is to help you to develop the internal skills needed to operate and repair MacLean equipment safely and efficiently.
Virtual Reality Training (VR)

The MacLean Virtual Reality Training System is compact enough to fit in a standard Pelican travel case yet powerful enough to provide a fully immersive experience. This familiarization process shortens the on-vehicle learning curve, develops knowledge of MacLean equipment especially when it comes to simulated safety events, and permits training almost anywhere. Our current VR software focuses on the MacLean Bolter and we are expanding that to include Pre-op walkarounds and then full simulations of the MacLean Blockholer and Shotcrete Sprayer.
