Question:  What is MacLean's parts return policy?

Answer: MacLean Engineering has established the following parts return policy in order to ensure that the product(s) or part(s) returned are verified on receipt for acceptability and compliance with any contractual requirements. A customer wishing to return goods for repair, credit or any other reason, must contact MacLean Engineering’s Customer Service Representative(s) in order to obtain a Returned Material Authorization (RMA) number. The following minimum of information should be provided at the time of the return request.

  • MacLean Engineering Part Number
  • Description
  • Quantity to be returned
  • Purchase Date
  • Original purchase order number on which goods were purchased
  • Invoice number goods were invoiced on, if available
  • Reason for return

Goods are to be returned prepaid to MacLean Engineering facility as specified, unless otherwise negotiated. All goods must be properly packaged and a packing slip referring to the Returned Goods Authorization number must be included. On receipt of the goods, a physical inspection of the incoming parts will be conducted and their quality assessed as acceptable or unacceptable. If a credit is requested and accepted, it will be based on purchase price at time of sale, less applicable restocking fee. Credit will apply only after favourable inspection of returned goods.
