Design Features

Ergonomic Cab

The all new ergonomic cab was designed with operator safety and comfort in mind. This cab features high visibility, air ride seat with adjustable armrests and recline functions, an adjustable steering wheel, and a standard CD player. The MV is also available with optional air conditioning with rear mounted intercooler. The cab is ROPS certified to 12,000 lbs.

TPO Hoods and Roof

The cab roof, rear hood, and side panel sections are manufactured from TPO plastic material. They have excellent sound absorption capabilities, and they obviously won’t rust. When scratched, no paint loss is seen since TPO plastic is the same colour all the way through. Even better, the side panels a simply removed with 2 latches for complete access to the engine!

Powertrain

The MV is driven by the powerful and efficient Caterpillar C4.4 ACERT engine. This engine features 127hp and is Tier III compliant. The engine is coupled to a common-rail pump drive which powers the two speed hydrostatic transmission. The axles are rated to carry 8000 lbs each. They are an outboard planetary style axle which is designed for this application.

Steering & Centre Joint

The Maclean MV utilizes two steering cylinders protected by the frame, in addition to tapered and collated steering pins to ensure a tight fit and smooth ride. The adjustable steering pins can be periodically tightened to counteract any play in the steering or ‘fish-tailing’ while carrying heavy loads.

Hydrostatic Driveline

The Maclean MV is equipped with an infinitely variable hydrostatic transmission coupled with a 2 speed mechanical gearbox for a working speed of up to 12 km/h and a travel speed of up to 32 km/h.
