AGNICO-EAGLE MINES LAPA DIVISION OFFICIAL OPENING

On Thursday, August 27th, MacLean Engineering will be attending the official opening of Agnico-Eagle's Lapa Mine. 

MacLean Engineering will have a special role to play in the future of Lapa Mine as we continue our service and support of Agnico-Eagle's gold mining operations in Quebec.  Scheduled for delivery are the BH-3 Blockholer and 2 Series 946 Scissor Bolters.  At the inauguration, MacLean will be presenting Lapa Mine with two commemorative displays showcasing the MacLean equipment that will be on site. 

Lapa Mine is located in the Abitibi region of north western Quebec, 11 km east of LaRonde Mine.  Lapa Mine poured its first gold on May 7th, 2009.  Agnico-Eagle estimates 1.1 million oz of probable gold reserves at Lapa Mine.
