MacLean Engineering's new customer service & support centre in Val-d'Or, QC is a logical expansion of operations, offering a significant portion of domestic customers enhanced after-market support.
Thursday, September 16, 2010 marked the
official opening of MacLean Engineering’s Customer Service & Support Centre
in Val-d’Or, Quebec.The new branch in
Val-d’Or is a 10,000 square foot addition to MacLean’s network of sales and
after-market support locations and will act as the main warehousing and
distribution centre for the entire Abitibi-Témiscamingue region of Quebec.The new branch will also support Capital
Equipment Sales, Customer Service, Field Service and Product Support
Technicians. MacLean will continue to build up operations in Val-d’Or and the
branch will soon accommodate component repairs, a reman and exchange program,
and equipment rebuilds. The new branch will initially employ eight people.
MacLean has long standing relationships
with mines in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region of Quebec.The Company has had numerous Series 900 platform
scissor bolters, BT-3 boom trucks, SL-3 scissor lifts, and BH-3 blockholers working
underground in the region for many years.Through the performance of this equipment, MacLean has proven itself as
a leading supplier resulting in strong partnerships with some of the industry’s
biggest mining companies like Agnico-Eagle (the first MacLean SS-3 Shotcrete
Sprayer was tested at Laronde Mine) and Xstrata Nickel (the new FHA – Fan
Handler Attachment is currently undergoing testing at Perseverance Mine).
