MACLEAN INTRODUCES THE BT-3 BOOM TRUCK AT THE ELKO MINING CONVENTION
In early June 2008 MacLean Engineering again participated in the Elko Mining Convention and Trade Show in N-E
Nevada. Exhibiting alongside our dealer Komatsu Equipment Company, this
year the “Mine-Mate” utility vehicle line in the form of a BT-3 Boom
Truck was introduced into the United States.
Significant interest in the “Mine-Mate” product was shown by local mine operators
and contractors, and expectations are that several orders will be
placed in the near future.
Features of the BT-3 Boom Truck most
appreciated were its ruggedness and quality appearance, high speed and
payload, and its environmentally state-of-the-art diesel engine which
is electronically controlled, fuel efficient and low in diesel emission
discharges.
Seen here are (L-R) Rob Jerry, Roger Dunning and Anthony Griffiths representing the Product Management and International
Sales groups.
The
Elko region is the centre of gold mining in the United States, with the
State of Nevada being responsible for 70% of the country’s output. It
has been a strategically important market for MacLean Engineering for
the past ten years, and will continue to be a major focus for the
company.
