MacLean Engineering & Marketing Co. Limited was founded in 1973 by Don MacLean, a Professional Mining Engineer, and continues to operate under his ownership. Don actively directs the growth of the company and his entire Team remains focused on developing the most functional equipment possible in order to enhance overall machine Safety, Reliability and Productivity.
Since 1973 MacLean Engineering has continued to enhance its product offering through the development of innovative Ground Support Installation Rigs, Ore Flow Facilitation Rigs, Production Drilling Rigs, Underground Utility Trucks as well as Carriers for other OEM Mining Equipment Suppliers.
As the MacLean underground mining product-line grew, so too did the MacLean Customer Support Group, with operating facilities in Sudbury Ontario, Thompson Manitoba and Phalaborwa South Africa, all strategically located to provide optimum Customer Support in terms of Qualified Technicians and Spare Parts.
In 2008 MacLean Engineering & Marketing Co. Limited entered a new business segment but retained the same Business Philosophy of developing and supplying the most functional equipment possible in order to enhance overall machine safety and productivity. This time around the product offering is the MacLean MV, which is a prime mover designed to carry a large variety of attachments for multi-functional purposes in the Commercial and Municipal Sectors. The MacLean MV utilizes a wide range of Snow Removal Attachments in the Winter months and then converts to Grounds and Road Maintenance applications in the Summer months, through the use of numerous other purpose-built attachments.
The latest chapter in the History of MacLean Engineering occurred in mid 2008 with the acquisition of the attachment designer and manufacturer Kanlan. This acquisition was made in support of the extremely versatile MacLean MV and will provide a comprehensive range of attachments that will make the MacLean MV a machine for all seasons.
Kanlan’s reputation for producing innovative and durable attachments will be further enhanced through the expertise resident within the MacLean Design and Manufacturing Teams.
